PATHIK’s ongoing and well-known Initiative named MUKTIPATH – which is a project for the poor and needy people at their last journey of their inmates or loved ones. Where the expense for the Burial (Funeral) ceremony will be provided to the person who is in Genuine Need. There will not be any barrier of Cast or Community or Religion.  All will be covered or supported with the MOTO of “One Community and One Religion”. The project “Muktipath” was inaugurated on 26^th January, 2021 on the 72^nd Republic Day of India at three locations like Nabagraha Crematory, Bhootnath Crematory and Bashistha Crematory as a first step. 

Presently this Muktipath is taken to all parts of Assam covering all community of people. For this purpose, a fund generation process is been started by introducing a What’s App Community Group named as Muktipath where each member enrolled in the group donates a minimum of Rs.100/- up to Unlimited every month according to their own capacity of the donor, which have been monitored under a daily basis auditing system where anybody with kind hearted and willing to help others can join Muktipath.

We (Muktipath) are now 86 members. Muktipath supported 355 poor people along with 42 unclaimed bodies with overall 397 bodies in Total till date.

Muktipath is presently working at Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Majuli, Duliajan, Gohpur, Nalbari, Borpeta. We are targeting to support such kind of poor and needy people and also the unclaimed at their last journey of life covering entire Assam in coming days.

We thankful to SBI, who acknowledged our project MUKTIPATH and had donated us two numbers of Dead body Carrying Vans for project last November, 2024. Through which we are able to devote our services to more people who are not able to even take the body for cremation center.
